This-n-That

This is a shot of the progress on the new church in Ochelata. It's so exciting to see it going up!

We had a few pictures taken. Here are some that I liked:

Danny put Daddy down for a nap:

He can't quite make it all the way over, but he'd sure like to! I know he wouldn't be a happy camper if he made it all the way over and got stuck on his tummy. He is NOT a fan of tummy time!

He had just gone to sleep, and I heard him crying. I got there right after Arthur picked him up. Here's what we found:

He didn't particularly like laying in that yucky spit-up!

I don't usually take pictures in church, but I couldn't resist. Jeren and Danny were really checking each other out. It's blurry because I didn't want to take it with the flash.

A friend in Ochelata loaned us this glider thingy for Danny to sleep in when we're at Mom and Dad's since he's still waking up at night, and I wanted him within arm's reach. He'd been taking a nap, and I heard him cooing through the monitor, so I went to see what he was doing. He was just jabbering away at the little bear and bunny hanging above his head.
He's finally starting to enjoy (or at least tolerate) his sling. Here he is napping in it.

We went to Minnesota to Arthur's uncle and aunt's house for Thanksgiving/Christmas. This is Arthur's cousin Julia holding Danny.

Danny and Daddy taking a nap:

Danny loves to be talked to, especially by his Daddy!

The face Danny's making cracks me up!

I love these pictures of Arthur and Danny! He's so happy to talk to his Daddy. He looks awfully cute in his coat too.

A new little St. Louis Blues fan. They won that night, so I guess these are his new lucky jammies.

Ohhhhhhh, theeeeee Pouchy Lip will get you if you don't watch out!
This one is in the car on the way to Minnesota. We rode with Arthur's brother-in-law, so I sat in the back by Danny, and he couldn't understand why I couldn't pick him up.

The rest of these are at home the day before yesterday. Aren't we mean parents for taking these pictures before we comforted him? Life is so rough when you're two months old!

Picture Day!

Okay, okay, everyday is picture day in this house, but this picture day was with my cousin Crystal. She takes great pictures. My little guy didn't feel cooperative for very long, so we didn't get TONS of shots, but she managed to get some great shots in the short time frame we had. These were taken toward the end of last month, I think, but I didn't get her a disc to save them on until this week, so I'm just getting them on here. Here are a few of my favorites:

Check out these dimples. If I remember right, this picture is a bit deceptive. It wasn't a genuine smile. She just snapped it an instant before he started screaming and it looked like he was smiling, but I'll take it!:
" You've seen my happy face, but now let me show ya how I really feel about this."
Well, there are a few comforts in life, and a nice, slobbery fist is one of them.
I love close ups of different features.

Peely little feet, or should I say big feet! His feet were as long as Arthur's index finger when he was born, and the newborn socks were already too small.
I bought this washtub at a thrift store awhile back to keep my detergent, etc. in because everything slides around on top of my washer when it spins. I thought it would make a cute prop.

"I've got my eye on you, ducky!"
He looks a bit shell-shocked here, but really, this is his "I'm really sleepy, but I am NOT going to go to sleep" face. It took me awhile to figure that one out. :o) Now when I see it, I start trying to get him to relax and take a nap, or within about an hour, it turns into something like the face in the second picture up there.

Sweet...

There's those sleepy eyes again!
I like this one:
And I like this one of both of us:
"Please, feed me, Mommy! Feed me now!"
I really like this one too:
Maybe next time I'll get some with Arthur in them too, but we didn't really have time this time before Danny was done. I thought these turned out great, though. Thanks Crystal!
*If any of our family wants some of these, you can save them to your computer off of here, or if you want to borrow the disc, let me know.

Yes, more pictures

I just had to post these pictures.
He likes to be held sitting up, so I put him in this seat just to see if he could sit in it yet.

It is still a little big, so I propped him up a little. Not bad for a 4 week old, though.

He was studying his Daddy.
Daddy got a big grin.

Then Momma got a big grin.

"Hmmm..." He looks like he's scratching his chin and thinking hard.
Okay, I will stop now. I'm sure you've all seen enough of Danny for the day!
