I loaded these pictures backwards, so the most recent are at the top. These are yesterday:
He was trying on different faces I guess. I love the little furrowed brow. Oh, and for the record, his daddy dressed him. I did NOT put him in a busy little car shirt and camo pants! I
DID say, "I don't care what he wears, but would you please dress him?" Maybe that's what the little furrowed brow is for.

A BIG smile... wow what chins!

I love this sweet smile. He was smiling at me, but he looked away when I took the picture.

This was a hard night for all of us. He almost always falls asleep when I sit him in the bathroom while I shower, so when I could think of nothing else to do to get him to sleep, I put him in his carseat on the bathroom floor and took a shower. When I got out, this is how I found him. I guess his paci had fallen out, and he was trying to get it back in when he gave up and drifted off. I was almost scared to take the picture for fear of waking him (it was already VERY late), but it was just too cute to pass up.

We made a quick trip to Oklahoma because my mom's godmother passed away. I was really close to her growing up, so I really wanted to go to the funeral. My mom's birthday was that weekend too, so the trip kind of served a dual purpose, I guess. Anyways, my cousin's little boy had a birthday while we were there, and someone got him this huge book of all different kinds of tractors and farm equipment. I think my dad enjoyed it as much as Dawson!

Grandma Schaper was throwing this balloon back and forth to my cousin's little girl Regan and my Uncle Nate. It was so good to see her doing so well.

My Aunt Diane made this snake cake for the birthday boy. It was 4 feet long!

The shirt says, "I love my mummy," and the mummy on the front glows in the dark.

My "other brother" Tony and his family made a special trip down to meet our little guy. Danny was giving Brooke all my smiles!

My dad seemed to be as sleepy as Danny. They both crashed!

Grandma was so excited to hold the baby. I was glad we were able to go down and let them meet him, since Grandma really hasn't been well enough to travel for so long. This was very special to me, because I really didn't know if she would be alive to see our baby.

YAWN! What a sleepy baby!

Content to lie down with Momma.

Another sleepy moment. Check out his nose. It's all smooshed sideways by that paci.

I love this little turtle outfit, so I thought I'd take his picture. This was the same day that Crystal took his pictures. This little photo shoot went downhill fast. At first, he was somewhat tolerant, but he'd lost one of his shoes. This was the first time he'd ever worn shoes, and these particular shoes were a bit heavy, so he seemed really puzzled by them.
I put the dreaded shoe back on. This was the reaction I got....

He calmed down enough for me to snap this shot.

Daddy can always get him calm. He likes his daddy.

I love these little leg warmers. Too cute!

I've taken more pictures since I loaded these on the computer, but they will wait. I'm sure Danny's younger brothers and sisters will complain someday that we took so many pictures of him and not enough of them! Thank goodness for digital cameras, or we'd be spending a lot on film and developing pictures!
